  1. I think you have a very interesting concept here, making players learn from their mistakes, i am also excited to see the element of randomisation where doors won't always lead to the same place.
Having a timer adds a much needed sense of urgency to a game like this one and will definitely keep players engaged.

I think your idea for a wooden or steel design for puzzles fits well, you could make the puzzles look more worn out at the begining of the game, as if players have beaten those puzzles and then make ones further into the maze look more fresh as if other players have never even reached them.

  2. Hey Sophie,
Great game design doc, very easy to read and explained the type of game your going to build. I think it's great your going back to your childhood to find inspiration for your game idea. It's crazy that you played puzzle games as a kid and now you are making one to play on a computer. You have a great concept here, the fact you making players learn from their mistakes is a great idea. This type of game seems a bit hard to design, I hope your coding goes well and it's not to stressful. One suggestion would be to consider the design of the maze, make sure it's simplistic as you would want to put most of your focus on the functionality of your game over it's design, good luck.

  3. Hi Sophie I really enjoyed reading about your chosen game design. I really love puzzle games I grew up playing with them too so I can't wait to see yours in action. I see as well that you aren't adding music to your game! I 'd maybe consider to actually add music maybe even a dark and slow kind of music theme like the one in the Super Mario games when you enter Bowser's Castle where it's like set in a dark and mysterious place ; just a thought if you like it but otherwise I really would love to play this game!

  4. Hey Sophie, Killian here, your game sounds really interesting, it looks like you have a really interesting idea, making players learn from their mistakes. The puzzle designs seem to fit the theme, really fits in well. The randomizer that you mention seems interesting , in the sense that they are all different outcomes, it keeps the game fresh and entertaining. I also like the idea of the timer being included as it gives a sense of needing to be a quick thinker while putting you under pressure to get it done. You must be doing really well as the basics of the game look all done and the overall idea seems to be a very interesting and sounds like a fun game to play. You seem to be dong better than me so I don't really know what I can suggest you to do. Good luck anyway seems like an A their
